Continuous Rotor Dynamics of Multi-Disc and Multi-Span Rotor: A Theoretical and Numerical Investigation on the Identification of Bearing Coefficients from Unbalance Responses

Identification of bearings’ stiffness and damping coefficients, which strongly affects the dynamic characteristics rotors, is another inverse problem Rotor Dynamics. In this paper, aiming at multi-disc multi-span two novel algorithms are proposed for identifying each bearing’s coefficients based on continuous rotor analysis method. A linear functional relationship between main complex cross-coupled obtained, eliminates coupling unbalance in forward problem. Then, Algorithm I proposed. However, it only suitable rolling-bearing. To solve problem, changing rotating speed slightly to difficulty that set equations cannot be developed because slope function constant when maintained a fixed speed. II, can applied both rolling-bearing oil-journal bearing, provided. Numerical investigations conducted study methods.
